Born and raised in Shelby, North Carolina, JB considers himself to be an everyday guy from around the way. Having both his parents in the home, his love for music and the Christian lifestyle was instilled in him from his musician father and evangelist mother at an early age. As he grew older, this passion for music and ministry would grow inside of him, finally taking his chance in 2002 as a Christian Rapper named "Reality". Since that day, the passion that was 'Reality' has matured into the talent now known as 'JB Real', with the musical intentions of portraying a perfect God through an imperfect lens.
"I dont have a super testimony, nor do I aim to be the next big thing in music." JB says, "All I know, is that I love the Lord and I love music. So if you enjoy great music with a great message, then lets get down together!"
